What to check before you book in Kokkari

Afternoon wind. Kokkari's bay catches consistent afternoon wind, which is exactly why it's popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing. If you want a calm balcony in the afternoon, ask about the property's orientation.
Parking. The old town's lanes are narrow and largely pedestrian. Ask whether your property has parking on site, or whether you'll need to use street parking on the edge of the village.
Beach access. Not every stay in Kokkari is beachfront. Tsamadou and Lemonakia, the two Blue Flag beaches, are a walk east of the harbour rather than right on it.
Operating season. Smaller, family-run guesthouses sometimes close for the deep off-season, roughly November to March. Confirm your property is open for your dates if you're travelling outside summer.
